I get it. Grants are hard and take up your time

Let me help you create clear, professional and airtight grant applications with ease and confidence. Money money money is coming your way!

  • Spend more time on your art

  • Get clarity and vision for your project

  • Secure that well deserved funding!

In short: you focus on the art, I handle the paperwork. Together, we put forward the strongest possible application. Grant writers save you time, sharpen your ideas and message, and improve your chances of securing funding. I know how to frame your creative ideas in ways that funders understand, cut through jargon, and highlight what makes your project genuinely compelling. I help shape the “narrative” of your project so it feels clear, strategic and makes the assessors scream out “give them money now!”. I also keep track of deadlines, guidelines, budgets and required attachments so nothing gets missed. Arts grant guidelines are often specific and technical, and grant writers like me know exactly how to interpret and respond to them. I can translate your creative vision into clear, aligned answers that meet every requirement and give your project its strongest shot.

I take the stress off your shoulders! I have several years experience writing grants, both for other organisations, individuals and for myself, so I have a good grasp on writing for different entities, purposes and types of funding. I’ve written successful applications for high level grants, such as the Queensland Arts Showcase Program and Arts Queensland’s Organisations Fund, and am a current grant assessor for Regional Arts Australia (meaning I can speak from experience as to what assessors look for!). I know that grants can be stressful and confusing, and that’s why I bring a friendly, joyful and supportive energy to every submission I work on, while also a strong level of know-how, attention to detail, and organisational skills.

I am an artist myself so I understand the creative process and where you are coming from. I have several years experience as an independent theatre producer and director. I’ve been involved in projects involving new work, diverse artists, the d/Deaf and disability community, activating local places and spaces, cross-disciplinary work, dance and musical theatre. I’ve produced work with Brisbane Powerhouse, Wynnum Fringe Festival, Anywhere Festival, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance, and PIP Theatre, to name a few.

Creative Sparks, Brisbane City Council; Arts Queensland grants; Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups, Creative Australia; Regional Arts Development Fund; Lord Mayor’s Community Fund.

I can apply my skills/knowledge to any Australian grant, but my areas of expertise are Queensland wide, mainly Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, South East Queensland

I can apply my skills/knowledge to any creative or performing arts grant, but my areas of expertise are: Theatre, Community Arts, New and Devised Work, d/Deaf and Disability Arts, Regional Arts.

I am based between Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast. I get around fairly regularly and easily, so I can meet you in person. Otherwise, phone call and video chats are great (also more environmentally friendly too!)

I make sure that I have full and comprehensive knowledge of the grant you are applying for. That way, I can give informed, accurate and expert advice to give you the best advantage. This includes: specific guidelines, criteria, budget details, grant target areas, required support material, relevant government legislation and reports, award rates and minimums, background on the organisation and their priorities, and many others.

Sometimes, all you need is a sounding board and someone to point you in the right direction. As a grant consultant, I can be flexible to your needs, including but not limited to:

  • Planning stage advice and strategy

  • Proofreading and feedback on grant submissions

  • Basic research and fact-finding

  • Regular check ins for questions and addressing issues you might need help with

How much? Minimum would be around $100 per grant submission, depending on how much help you need. I am flexible to your budget, so let's chat.

This is my specialty! If grants go over your head, I can help create your entire submission, in collaboration with you. This includes:

  • Planning stage advice and strategy

  • Writing answers to grant questions

  • Creating and gathering support material, such as letters of support and confirmation

  • Managing the budget

  • Creating required paperwork, such as evaluation plans and risk assessments

  • Making inquiries on your behalf, such as contacting project partners and involved artists

  • Entering the information into the specific online grant system

  • Comprehensive grant management and identifying holes in the submission

  • Ensuring your application addresses every requisite to a professional standard

  • Regular checks in together

I take great care and scrutiny to ensure the grant is within your project vision. I check in regularly to update you on my progress and keep you informed on absolutely everything. You will always have 24/7 access to see the work I am doing.

How much? Minimum would be around $250 per grant submission, depending on how much help you need. I can be flexible to your budget, so let's discuss.

No matter where your thinking is at, you’re welcome to send me details of your project and we’ll organise a time to chat together. I'm happy to offer a basic consultation before we get started, to see if I'm the right fit for your project and your needs. I’ll pop my kettle on!
