Theatre has the power to change minds, shift opinions, spark conversation, debate, and make real social, political and cultural change.

 

My practise is based in text-based theatre. I am deeply committed to my craft, the work of my fellow artists, and to the audience whom the work will be shared with. My passions span arts leadership, producing, directing, and dramaturgy. I bring intelligence, insight, and discipline to every project. I pride myself on being grounded and collaborative, ensuring that I foster both artistic vision and strong leadership within the rehearsal space and across each project.

 

My design aesthetic embraces an imaginative approach to scenography while always prioritizing actor-centered performances. I'm an attentive listener, dedicated to continuous learning, and eager to create thoughtful experiences that are rich in meaning. I frequent site-based work that uses the space as a central element to the performance, such as churches, parks and museums.

 

As a dramaturg, I work with writers in the development of new plays, and with theatre-makers in the creation of new performance works. I foster a compassionate and encouraging environment where the artist is both supported and challenged to realise the creative potential of their ideas.
